Awards and Stuff
Awards and Stuff: At the Florida Professional Photographer's convention this past August there was a print competition. There are times when I just don’t feel like entering or I just don’t feel I have anything worthy of competition. One of the reasons I continue to enter into the print competition is to make me a better photographer and it keeps my competitive juices flowing. After years of submitting I still can’t wait to hear how my images scored. The State of Florida is very competitive. And if I do well at State I know I will do well at Southeast and National. As it stands I submitted 4-images, one image didn't do so well and that keeps you very humble. The other 3-images were on display for a few days in the lobby of the Rosen Plaza on I-drive. First place in the family category titled the “Homestead”, The Wells family. The child category titled “Take Five" came in second place, Emily Wilson. And the third image titled A Touch of Sunshine received the honor award. I’m proud of the awarded images because these three categories are always the most hotly contested categories. With well over 650 images that were submitted, less than 1% received first and second place awards. We have some fantastic clients. Thank You!
