She is an avid reader.Sheikes country and gospel music. A perfect day is at the beach! Her fondest memory is playing outside in MS. We now have two ducklings named Theodore and Feather Brain at home. The ducklings at the time of the photo session were only 1-week old and they are very cute. Messy but cute!Boy they grow fast. We had two duck herders to make sure they stayed in camera view in the pond. With the limited edition sets The Day with the Ducklings is a great set to capture interactive images of the children with natural expressions. Watching their faces light up while holding the ducklings themselves was priceless! Some children would hold them while others would not. We had eight ducklings in total. The set took 4-hours to set up and one and a half hours to take down. We did have a leak on camera left, not enough to stop and drain the pond. We received rave reviews from our clients that the set looked great and the best part was we did it in the studio in a controlled environment!
We had a great time not only building the set, but capturing children with live baby ducklings. I made a collection of some of my favorite images. Can you guess how long it took to build the Duckling set?
Yes we did have a small leak just enough that we did have to mop a few times on the camera left, but nothing too bad. We had 8-live baby duckling one week old and boy do they grow fast. This weekend you can come over and have some fresh duck dinner with us...LOL. We now have two of the 8-duckings at home named Feather Brain and Theodore. The photo sessions went great, when we create images with the Limited Edition Sets you can just let children be children and let them do what comes naturally with very little direction. I just sit back and capture the those great natural expressions and occasionally direct the children to look at the camera or rescue the ducking from a chokehold. Some children love holding the ducklings while others would not touch them. Cole in the buff, Cole decided to sit down in the pond, so we took off his shorts and shirt and look how cute this image came out! Totally unplanned! We had 3-faux duckling can you pick them out? What took the most time was having two people herding the ducks back into camera view. Can you guess the dimensions of pond? How deep was the pond? If you answer correctly the above questions you will receive a free portrait session at our next Limited Edition Sets. A $75 value! Clients who had their portraits taken with the ducklings are ineligible.
The Peter Rabbits Garden is NEXT and it's sure to be just as exciting and just as busy as the Day with the Ducklings, so hurry mark your calendars for April 8th and 9th. Live bunnies just in time for Easter. Call the studio at 407/846-3838.
I had the pleasure of photographing Raleigh & Samantha for the cover of the 2009 Miss & Little Miss Silver Spurs Souvenir Program. The location was in St. Cloud memorial park with a patriotic theme last Tuesday and boy was it cold and windy. Samantha & Raleigh were great to work with. We wish them well as they crown the new Miss & Little Miss Silver Spurs in Feb 2009.
I love people who think outside the box. Robin commissioned us to create her family portrait. She came in for our pre-planning consultation with a great idea! She wanted a location portrait with a BARN. I knew immediately the prefect location, although it had been years since I last visited the barn site. Who knew maybe by now it could have been torn down or blown away? Someday it will be gone due to housing project. I think that you will have to agree it’s pretty unique family portrait. You too can have a unique family portrait. It’s only limited by our imagination. If you could create your family portrait anywhere in the world, where would it be?
