Merry Christmas!

Congrats to Elizabeth and Garrett who where married on Saturday, December 18th. It was a nice rainy day for a wedding, but we had a great time photographing the newlyweds. The chauffer brought out an umbrella I thought cool, a prop to help tell their story!
We traveled via stretched golf carts which was pretty cool to the bridge. The stacked stone, the clock, the bridge and phone booth all lend themselves to great photo opportunities. It was wet so we stayed on the cart path and created some amazing images with the help of a fun wedding party. They where up for just about anything. The sun came out briefly. Prefect timing, a great place. The reception was at the St. Cloud Royal Golf course, what a great place to have a reception. My second time at Royal Golf Course, both times it rained. What’s with that???
Congratulations to Elizabeth and Garrett may they live a long health life together. Enjoy your first Christmas together as husband and wife.

I was commissioned by the Urban family (wink, wink)… for Christmas portrait. Their son (Kolby) was home from college and with Kim being the procrastinator waited almost until Christmas Eve and still wanted to get her Christmas cards??? If you can’t use your family for trying out new things who can you use? The Urbans just finished installing a new fireplace. Good thing ,not only was it cold but very windy.
The family room over looks the lake and I knew we had a photo op. I did a series of images showing the entire family room letting the Urban children do what they love to do, play with their lap tops, I-phones and dogs. The wide view image came out fantastic and now I must come up with a good creative name other than panoramic. Any thoughts???

The last time we photographed the Gassert family was 11-years ago, 1999. Boy have things changed, Melanie and Danny are now grandparents and we did a four-generation portrait as well, WOW! You don’t see that very often. It is really fun to watch families grow.
Danny is going to his eternal home soon. To be around Danny and Melanie, who have such a strong relationship with God, is truly up- lifting. The fact of the matter is none of us know how much time we have left. As I watched, Melanie who is strong and courageous for her grandchildren, her two boys and for Danny knowing that God is right there by her side. How do you go through something like this without a personal relationship with God? It was a pleasure to work with a family who has such a strong relationship with God and also a family who gives Him all the glory and honor. I ask that you keep the Gassert Family in your prayers. P.U.S.H.

We had the privilege of photographing Mara and Brennan at their wedding 6-years ago. Now they have two boys of their own Elijah and Jackson. We went on location at sunrise one morning and could not have asked for better weather. This was just before the cold snap. The boys were great to work with and the lighting was outstanding. Thank you Mara for the opportunity to serve you again and now your family. It truly was our pleasure.
